Come and share what you know about Agile coaching

This is a monthly gathering of Agile Coaches in Boston. Come on down and learn and teach Agile Coaching.

If you are in an organization that is considering bringing in a coach, you are welcome to attend.

This meeting features presentations that are for-coaches-by-coaches, in Pecha Kucha format.

Pecha Kucha talks are very structured, very short, very focused talks with slides....20 slides, 20 seconds per slide. The total time is 6 and 2/3 minutes.

Learn more here about the format: PECHA KUCHA format explained.

If you are an Agile Coach, this is your meeting. Only coaches and managers involved with coaching in some way are expected to attend. (If you are not sure you match the intent of this ground rule, simply send an email in advance of registration. Contact Us)

You DO NOT have to present something to attend. You can just show up and that is OK

Come and share what you know about Agile coaching and also learn from other coaches in the region. The format is simple: presenters deliver a short, 7-minute session in the Pecha Kucha format. This is a talk with 20 slides that are 20 seconds each. Presenters deliver a very short, rich, focused and COMPACT presentation on a specific, focused Agile Coaching topic.

Questions? See the Q&A below.

You can expect to learn a ton at this monthly event. Come and grab some food, sit down and enjoy the presentations. We are actively expecting you to show up with YOUR expertise, ready to deliver in this format. Deliver 1 or 2 sessions yourself, (or not) then sit back and enjoy the show !

We provide the popcorn.

We encourage you to present your best stuff from your Agile coaching experiences: as an in-house coach, or as a professional external coach consulting to organizations, or as a project sponsor or authorized manager who employs coaches in and around Boston.

Talk on whatever you like. You have Coaching experience to tell us about right?

Teach us something cool.

Sample Coaching Topics you may want to deliver on includes, but is not limited to:

No, we plan to run through all the sessions and then have a full-group discussion on what just happened.

After they are done, we discuss the learning, engaging in inquiry and dialogue for about 45-minutes to 1 hour .... we may divide into small groups during this meeting, depending...

This is what the PC is set up for. Bring your session on 2 USB memory devices. (1 for backup). Someone else serves you by turning your pages every 20 seconds as you talk.

Yes you are. However, showing up to dialogue and learn is A-OK.

Q. Can I just show up and observe if I am a Agile Coach?

Yes you can

Why not MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN by sharing what you know. You are an Agile coach, or a manager who has experience engaging coaches, or an in-house Agile coach, or a Scrum Master functioning like a Coach in some respects. Right? Then, you have a valuable story to share.

We want to hear from you.

This is a learning event, come and teach us something !! Share your stuff and your stories.

Q. I might not qualify to attend. How can I be sure I am OK?

If you are an Agile coach, or a manager who has experience engaging coaches, or an in-house Agile coach, or a Scrum Master functioning like a Coach in some respects, you qualify.

This is not a general meeting of Agile Boston however. This MONTHLY MEETING (usually the 4th Tuesday evening of the month) is for coaches and organizations seeking coaches... and knowledge of coaching. This is a coaching-focused meeting.

If you are unsure if you qualify for attendance, simply send email (Contact Us) and explain your situation.

Q. Is the meeting closed to non-coaching types?

This is a gathering of coaches to discuss and teach coaching.
