List Honors the Fastest Growing Technology Firms in Connecticut

New Technology Solutions has applied for membership in the Deloitte and Touché FAST50. Dan Mezick, President of NewTech, was encouraged by peers and state politicians to apply for membership. Explaining, Mezick said, “this list spotlights the fastest growing technology firms in the State of Connecticut. Based on the listed results from the 1999 list of members, and our 5-year growth rate, we are pretty confident we will make the 2001 list. We hope to be ranked in the top 25 companies in the list of 50.”
The FAST50 is at the annual list of fastest growing firms in each state. The list of 50 winners from each state is ranked, and the top 500 firms gain membership in the Deloitte and Touche FAST500. The FAST500 is similar to INC Magazine’s INC500 list of the fastest growing firms in America. The FAST500 is published annually in FORBES ASAP magazine.
It differs from the INC500 in that the FAST500 is a list of technology firms only. In addition, the INC 500 allows only privately held companies to apply, while the FAST500 allows all firms, even publicly traded forms, to apply for membership.

NewTech has experienced a 5-year growth rate in excess of 600%.
The Connecticut FAST50 encourages firms with a 5-year growth rate in excess of 100% to apply for membership. In 1999, the USA-wide FAST500 list contained 500 companies, 50 of which had a lower 5-yr growth rate than NewTech in FY2000. NewTech started in 1993 and employees nearly 50 people.
